Neerim South Medical Centre is an established family general medical practice with visiting staff including GPs and specialists. We have a team of nurses and allied health professionals supported by highly dedicated receptionists and administrative staff

 

Dr Stephen Jedynak

Dr Stephen Jedynak is a specialist general practitioner and principal doctor at our clinic. Dr Jedynak graduated from Monash University in 1976 and, together with his wife, Dr Elizabeth Fitzgerald, took over the practice in 1979. Dr Jedynak is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has more than 40 years of medical experience. Until recently, he worked for nearly 20 years in emergency medicine, anaesthetics and performs minor surgical procedures.

Dr Elizabeth Fitzgerald

Dr Elizabeth Fitzgerald is a specialist general practitioner and principal doctor at our clinic. Dr Fitzgerald graduated from Monash University in 1976 and, together with her husband, Dr Stephen Jedynak, took over the practice in 1979. Dr Fitzgerald is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a GP supervisor with the Australian General Practice Training Program. She has an interest in all aspects of general practice and a special interest in women’s Health as well as child and adolescent health.

 

Dr Priyadharshini Som

Dr Priyadharshini Som is a specialist general practitioner who joined NSMC in February 2024. Dr Priya is a fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Priya completed her medical degree in India and graduated in 2017. She continued her medical training in Australia and has gained experience through a wide variety of hospital placements. Dr Priya has an interest in women’s and children’s health, sexual health, mental health, chronic disease management, lifestyle medicine and preventative medicine.

Dr Archana Vishwanatham

Dr Archana Vishwanatham is a specialist general practitioner who commenced consulting at NSMC in 2019. Dr Vishwanatham completed her medical degree in India in 2011 and settled in West Gippsland in 2018 after many years working in rural and regional Victoria. Dr Vishwanatham is a fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has a particular interest in children’s and women’s health as well as chronic disease management and also has a diploma of child health from Sydney Westmead Hospital.

 

Dr Somasundaram Hariharan

Dr Somasundaram Hariharan is a specialist general practitioner who joined Neerim South Medical Centre in February 2023. Dr Som is a fellow with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Som graduated from India in 2010 and has worked in various public hospitals in Australia since 2014. He has previously worked in the Frankston Hospital Emergency Department, General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics and Women’s health. Dr Som has also completed the Sydney Child Health Program and is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Child Health. His special interests are Geriatrics, Chronic Disease Management, Paediatrics and Minor Surgical Procedures

Dr Sriraag Balaji Srinivasan

Dr Sriraag Balaji Srinivasan joined Neerim South Medical Centre in February 2024 for his General Practitioner Registrar placement through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Sri graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The University of Western Australia in 2020. Dr Sri is an accredited HIV S100 prescriber. Dr Sri is currently studying for his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Sri has an interest in sexual health, LGBTQIIA+ health, HIV and chronic disease management.

 

Dr Megha Choudhary

Dr Megha Choudhary joined Neerim South Medical Centre in February 2025. Currently, she is a GP registrar pursuing her fellowship exams with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Dr Megha graduated in 2011 from India and has since gained extensive experience working in various public hospitals across Australia, including Monash, Frankston, Warragul, Bendigo, and Shepparton.

She holds a Graduate Diploma in Child Health from the Sydney Children's Hospital Network (SCHP). Dr Megha’s special interests include Women’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, and Skin Cancer.
