Flu Vaccinations
2026 flu vaccines will be available soon (Government and Private). Private flu Vaccines: $15.
Free under the National Immunisation Program for:
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people (6 months+)
Children (6 months – under 5 years)
Pregnant women (any stage)
Individuals 65+
Those 6 months+ with medical conditions
Flu vaccines are given in our immunisation clinic throughout the week. Consultation: Bulk billing available for eligible patients.
Shingles Vaccinations
Shingles Vaccine (SHINGRIX) is available for free, if you are over the age of 65. Two doses of Shingrix are required 2 - 6 months apart.
Covid-19 Vaccinations & Boosters Available
Pfizer Comirnaty JN.1 is available and recommended for everyone over 65 years.
People aged 18 years and above who are immunocompromised are recommended a booster covid dose.

Q Fever Vaccinations Available
Neerim South Medical Centre has partnered with GippsDairy to offer subsidised Q Fever testing and vaccinations to the community.

MyMedicare
From October 1st 2023 MyMedicare is now open for voluntary patient registration.
MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration model aiming to formalise the relationships between GPs and their patients.

Neerim South Medical Centre is a fully-accredited general medical practice. We offer a wide-range of medical services with a focus family medicine, including children’s health, women's health, men's health, minor surgical procedures and Telehealth phone consultations. The practice has on-site pharmacy and pathology and has strong links with the local district hospital and visiting medical specialists. We are a mixed-billing practice and bulk-bill healthcare card holders, pensioners, children 15 years and under. We also provide 24/7 emergency care for our regular patients.
12 Month Medicare Telehealth Rule
There is a Medicare requirement that a patient must attend an in person clinic consultation in the last 12 months to be eligible for a rebate or bulk billed Telehealth consultation. You will be notified when booking a Telehealth consultation through reception if you do not meet this requirement. Limited exceptions apply.

Transfer of Medical Records
A $25 fee applies for the transfer of patient records to another clinic. This fee covers admin time to access and collate health records and any postage. Please note an additional fee per page may apply for printed copies requested.
